  5. Advanced NetWare/286 drive limitations.
  6.  
  7. There seems to be quite a bit of confusion about which drives are
  8. supported with Advanced NetWare/286. Current versions of Advanced
  9. NetWare/286 will support only the following drives:
  10.  
  11. 1.Drive(s) running off of the internal IBM PC/AT supplied
  12. controller.
  13.  
  14. This includes true PC/AT compatibles. Refer to the
  15. "P.C. Compatible Test Results" for AT compatibles
  16. that have been tested by Novell in 286 mode. This list
  17. was sent out in mid February 1986. The drives used
  18. must be configured using the PC/AT "SETUP"
  19. program. The drive MUST match the BIOS option in
  20. the "SETUP" program as close as possible. If special
  21. software must be loaded to "trick" the BIOS to see all
  22. of the heads and cylinders, it will not work with
  23. Advanced NetWare/286. NetWare reads the
  24. configuration directly from the BIOS drive table.

  26. 2.Drives that are supported by the Novell Disk Coprocessor.

  28. These drives include Novell-made subsystems from
  29. January 1984 on. Check your 286 installation manual
  30. for exact models.

  32. Drives that run on NetWare/86 and Advance NetWare/86 that required
  33. a software driver to be loaded are NOT currently supported under
  34. Advanced NetWare/286.
